    Hidden Sidewalks is an agency that specializes in guided walking tours for small groups. Our tours blend historical, cultural, and modern-day narratives, offering unique experiences that intertwine storytelling with site exploration. We offer visitors an immersive view of a city beyond typical tourist routes.
  • How can I book a tour?
    You can book a tour through our website by emailing your staff. We also partner with third-party booking platforms like Viator, Get Your Guide and other authorized agents. Bookings made through these platforms will follow their specific booking and payment procedures.
  • Will I receive a confirmation after booking?
    Yes, once you book, you will receive a confirmation email containing all the relevant details, including the meeting point, start time, and what to bring. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours of booking, please check your spam folder or contact us at info@hiddensidewalks.com.
  • Can I show up without booking?
    Unfortunately, we do not accept walk-ins. All tours must be booked in advance to ensure availability and proper preparation, and full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Please book your tour through our website or an authorized third-party platform to secure your spot.
  • What happens if I am running late for my tour?
    Unfortunately, we cannot wait for late arrivals or reschedule missed tours. Please make sure to arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the tour. Refunds will not be provided for late arrivals or no-shows due to traffic, transportation delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Cancellations depend on the timing of your request. For bookings on our website, please refer to our detailed Cancellation Policy. If cancellations are made within a certain time frame (usually 24 hours before the tour), you may be eligible for a full or partial refund. For bookings made through third-party platforms, specific cancellation policies may apply. Please consult their guidelines for more information.
  • Can I modify my booking?
    Requests to modify a booking are subject to availability and may result in additional charges. The possibility of modifying a booking depend on the timing of the request. If you need to request a modification, please contact us via email as soon as possible.
  • Do I need to be in good physical conditions to join a tour?
    Our tours involve walking, often for long stretches, so participants should be in reasonably good physical condition. The exact length and difficulty of the walk are outlined on each tour’s description page. Please inform us of any health concerns, dietary restrictions, or allergies in advance, especially for Walk&Taste tours. While we strive to accommodate all guests, we cannot assume responsibility for health-related issues during the tour.
  • What should I wear on the tour?
    We recommend comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and footwear suited for walking. If the weather forecast predicts rain, please bring an umbrella or raincoat. For certain tours, such as those involving shrines or temples, modest attire may be required. Please refer to the specific tour details for any dress code requirements.
  • What happens in case of bad weather?
    If the weather is instead deemed unsafe (such as during a typhoon or extreme conditions), we may cancel the tour. In this case, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund. Minor weather conditions, such as average rain, will not result in a cancellation, so please come prepared.
  • Are the tours suitable for children?
    Our tours are designed for adults and are not recommended for children under 18. However, older teenagers may enjoy the experience, especially if they are interested in history, culture, or real-life narratives and can walk long distances. Please note that guests under 18 must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Can I book a private tour?
    Our tours are designed and available for sale on our website and third-party platforms exclusively as small group tours, and anyone can reserve their spot until the tour reaches its participant limit.   • Do you offer travel insurance?
    We do not provide travel insurance, and guests participate at their own risk. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events that might affect your participation in the tour (such as illness, missed flights, etc.).
  • What is the group size for tours?
    Our tours are tailored for small groups to provide a more intimate and personalized experience. Group sizes usually range from 6 to 10, depending on the tour. If a tour fails to meet the minimum number of participants (2), we reserve the right to cancel and provide a refund or reschedule.
  • Can I bring my pet on the tour?
    Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on our tours due to potential restrictions at certain sites and the comfort of other participants.
  • What languages are your tours in?
